Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the Stamford Team Behind Level Two Chimney Stamford
When you book a chimney cleaning in Stamford, you’re not getting a random subcontractor in a rental van. You’re getting one of our four technicians, all of whom live within 30 minutes of the jobs they run. Between them they’ve inspected more than 11,000 chimneys across Fairfield County, from Glenbrook to Shippan to North Stamford. What unites them isn’t a company motto on a lanyard. It’s the shared understanding that a homeowner in Stamford can’t see inside their own flue, which means they’re trusting us to tell them the truth. We don’t take that lightly.
Our People
Marcus T., Lead Chimney Technician
Marcus has been sweeping and inspecting chimneys since 2011 and has personally completed more than 6,000 cleanings and Level 2 camera scans. He’s certified in NFPA 211 inspection protocols and handles our most involved repair diagnostics: cracked flue liners, smoke chamber parging, and crown failures that most companies won’t touch. Last Tuesday he pulled a dead squirrel and a decade of Class III creosote, which is the tar-like glaze that forms from years of incomplete wood combustion, out of a North Stamford fireplace. He named the squirrel. Marcus lives in Stamford with his wife and two dogs and is the reason we now keep a dedicated rodent-extraction kit on every truck.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena has been with Level Two Chimney since 2015 and leads our liner and rebuild work. She’s our specialist in DuraFlex stainless steel liner installation, HeatShield resurfacing, and full crown rebuilds, and she’s the one who walks homeowners through the camera footage before any recommendation is made. Her rule is simple: if the customer can’t see the problem on the screen, she isn’t going to ask them to pay to fix it. She served as a finish carpenter before moving into masonry, and it shows in her crown and cricket work. The cricket is the small peaked diversion built behind a wide chimney to shed water, and Elena’s are so clean they look prefabricated. She lives in Norwalk and has a soft spot for old Cape Cods.
Dana P., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the phone when you call (914) 537-8463, and she’s been handling scheduling, estimates, and customer records since 2018. She’s the reason every job goes out with a written scope, a written price, and a written warranty before a technician ever rings your doorbell. Dana knows the Stamford permit landscape cold, which matters when a liner replacement or rebuild crosses from routine service into code territory. She also sends the text when your technician is on the way, including the tech’s name and license number. She lives downtown and has been known to schedule sweeps around her own fireplace’s burning-season calendar, which she takes personally.
Jordan W., Apprentice Technician
Jordan joined the crew in 2023 and is two years into the training path Marcus set up after we realized good chimney technicians don’t grow on trees. He’s currently certified for cleaning and basic cap and crown repair work and rides with Marcus on all Level 2 inspections. Jordan handles the pre-job setup, the drop cloths, the HEPA filtration, and the before-photos that start every documented record. He grew up in the Cove and is the only one of us who has ever been up on a roof in January and said the view made it worth it. We’re not sure we agree, but we respect it.
One Standard, Every Job

Every one of us works under the same written promises, and they’re not posters in a break room. Clause 1 of the Haven Standard means a written price, a written scope, and a written warranty before work begins, on every single job, no exceptions. Clause 4 means a documented photo record on every visit, so you don’t take our word for what we found. You see it. You keep it. Those standards came out of 38,000 inspections and cleanings since 2009, and they exist because a homeowner should never have to guess whether a chimney company is honest. The 365-Day Done Right Promise backs all of it: if it’s not done right, we make it right. That applies whether Marcus ran the job or Jordan was holding the ladder. Call (914) 537-8463 and you’ll get Dana, then a written price, then one of the four of us at your door.
